The school session begins from 1st April.
A pupil has to study two languages besides English upto std. VIII.
The school is co-educational upto std XII and has English as the medium of instruction though equal emphasis is laid on teaching of Hindi and Sanskrit along with other subjects
The school is affiliated to Central Board of School Education(CBSE), New Delhi and follows the courses and rules laid down by it.
Computer education is imparted as a compulsory part of the syllabus from Std. I to X.

DAV Public School, Rampur is affiliated to The Central Board of Secondary Education.
CBSE is a Board of Education for public and private schools, under the Central Government of India. The board conducts final examinations every spring for All India Senior School Certificate Examination (AISSCE) for Class 10 and 12.The board also annually conducts the AIEEE exam for admission to undergraduate courses in engineering and architecture in numerous colleges spread over India. It also conducts AIPMT (All India Pre medical Test) for admission to major medical colleges in India.
DAV Education Board
DAV Education Board was established in 1989 with the blessings of then President of DAVCMC Prof. Ved Vyas. He was the first Chairman of the Board. This small seedling grew into a big tree with the blessings & guidance of the Chairman, Hon'ble President Late Shri G. P. Chopra. The Secretary, Education Board, Principal Mohan Lal with his administrative & academic acumen led the board in pursuit of academic excellence. Thus, the Board has witnessed rapid growth and expansion in last one decade.
DAV Education Board has been making all efforts to achieve the objectives mentioned in its bye-laws. One of the objective is to bring about a uniformity in the standard of education by providing academic support to DAV Public Schools, situated as they are, catering to the needs of different strata of society. With this major objective in view, the board began its journey by first introducing common examination in Class-VIII in all DAV run Public Schools. Simultaneously, the common examination for Class-IX was also added. Steadily, it started addressing itself to the other objectives. The Board addressed itself to the preparation of curriculum guidelines for Classes LKG to V, development of textbooks for the Classes LKG to VIII and other educational aids such as Educational Kit. With the advent of electronic technology, DAV Education Board prepared educational films, multimedia CDs, audio CDs of rhymes and listening comprehension CDs.
